A Brief History of Tekplan Solutions, LLC

Tekplan Solutions, LLC (Tekplan), headquartered in Roscoe, Illinois, consists of a parent  company and three subsidiaries:

  • Tekplan Solutions Florida, LLC with offices in Tampa and Fort Myers, Florida
  • Tekplan Solutions Georgia, LLC, based in Atlanta, Georgia
  • Tekplan Solutions Texas LLC, with offices in Houston and Weslaco, Texas

In 2001 Invensys Building Systems (IBS) made a strategic decision to privatize its company-owned temperature controls contracting business and to convert its distribution model to independently owned offices. John Radtke, the former Vice President of Corporate Acquisitions and Mergers for Invensys Building Systems, Inc., made an aggressive move to acquire several of the field offices by joining with IBS employees who were interested in continuing to sell and service Invensys products. As a result, Tekplan Solutions, LLC - principally owned by Mr. Radtke, with minority ownership by local branch employees and with exclusive distribution rights in defined territories in Texas and Florida - is the successor company to various IBS owned field offices.

With the merger of TAC and Invensys Building Systems, Tekplan Solutions is poised to offer an even greater diversity of services to our customers.

The Right Management
After obtaining the field offices, Tekplan developed a superior operating team by recruiting members of the senior management team of the recently privatized Invensys Building Systems' temperature controls contracting business. This management team is further supported by a number of former Invensys employees and others with diverse industrial backgrounds who chose to work for Tekplan.

The blending of diverse work experiences has broadened the knowledge base of all Tekplan employees, enabling us to apply best business practices to better serve the needs of our customers.

The Solutions
In addition to exclusive Invensys distribution rights, Tekplan Solutions represents other controls companies such as Delta and Siemens. Tekplan employs service mechanics for DDC controls and heating and air conditioning equipment. We can provide factory-trained assistance on Robertshaw, Siebe, Invensys, Barber Colman, and Delta controls. Tekplan provides maintenance contracts for these systems, as well as equipment and products for customers who wish to maintain or support their own equipment. All Tekplan locations offer PureChoice air-monitoring systems.

Each Tekplan location may also have unique solutions. For example, Tekplan Solutions Texas provides Siemens products and services. Tekplan Solutions Georgia product lines include Delta,  Richards-Zeta, and Purechoice.
